TapPrompt ("we", "us", "our", or "the app") is a prompt management and AI image generation application for iOS, developed and operated by TapPrompt. This privacy policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have regarding your data.
By using TapPrompt, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The following data is created and stored entirely on your device. We do not have access to this data unless you explicitly use features that transmit it (such as AI features).
If you enable iCloud sync, the following data is synchronized across your Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit framework:

When you use TapPrompt's built-in AI features (available to Plus and Pro subscribers), our backend server processes your requests. During this process:
We do not store your prompt text or images on our servers. Data is forwarded to the AI provider in real-time and discarded after the response is returned to you. We retain only anonymous usage counts (e.g., "user used 3 image generation credits") for quota enforcement.
TapPrompt integrates with multiple third-party AI services. When you use AI features, your prompt text or images are sent to external servers for processing. The specific provider depends on the model you select.
When using TapPrompt's built-in AI (Plus/Pro subscription), your data is routed through our server to the following providers:

When you configure your own API keys, requests are sent directly from your device to the selected provider — they do not pass through our servers. Supported providers include:

We do not control how these third parties process, store, or use your data.
Data stored on your device remains until you manually delete it within the app or uninstall TapPrompt. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
iCloud-synced data persists according to your Apple iCloud settings. You can delete it through Settings > Apple ID > iCloud on your device.
Our server retains only anonymous usage quota counters (e.g., credit usage counts). No prompt text, images, or personal data is stored on our servers.
Data retention by third-party AI providers is governed by their respective privacy policies. We recommend reviewing each provider's policy for details.
You have the following rights regarding your data:
TapPrompt is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
When you use AI features, your data may be processed by servers located in different countries depending on the AI provider. By using these features, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations. All transfers are protected by HTTPS encryption.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also provide notice within the app.
